Trade unions around the world agree that climate change is a serious threat to workers and their communities worldwide and therefore demand to strengthen the efforts to fight it. The G7 countries play a crucial role as a pioneer. Therefore, the umbrella organizations of the trade unions from the G7 countries have decided to demonstrate their support for the Paris agreement in a joint declaration.
In a subsequent panel discussion, we would like to discuss the question of how we can design the necessary structural change and at the same time create sustainable jobs and decent work.
